CCPA Privacy Notice

Effective Date: January 2020
1 | CCPA INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) ensures California residents are provided with certain rights regarding their personally identifiable information (PII) that businesses collect about their relationship with them. CCPA enables rights for consumers to request access to review, opt-in/opt-out, or delete your personal information, as well as the right for California clients to direct businesses to stop selling or sharing their personal information, if applicable. This page addresses Vision Media Management’s CCPA responsibilities as a business and as a service provider, whether you are a consumer or a business. This notice supplements Vision Media’s Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms and Conditions, as well as any agreement you have with us for the use of our products or services. Our Privacy Policy defines Account Data, Usage Data, and Content. While we’ll refer to those on this page, we’ll focus on our customers’ personal information here. Personal information is defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and we adhere to that definition. The CCPA also defines other terms as to the definition of “consumer,” “business,” “service provider,” “business and commercial purpose.” It also defines sale or rental of personal information and data, and Vision Media does not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information in exchange for money or anything else of value. The CCPA also defines “controllers” and “processors” and discusses the purposes for which we use personal information in customer account data, customer usage data, and customer content. For the purposes of CCPA, in the same way we act as a processor of customer content, we act as a service provider of customer content. For customer account data and customer usage data, we act as a business and use that data for our business purposes, including communication with our customers in regards to our relationships with them. Regardless of whether we are acting as a business or a service provider, we process, store, use, and disclose personal information only as necessary to provide the services we have agreed to provide, strictly for business purposes. Our Privacy Statement details that use in more detail.
